With the successful launch of SURPLUS DANIEL PATRICK at the back end of last year, I am looking forward to the future of the line. I appreciate the love and support on the first drop, and I appreciate even more the patience on receiving your goods for those that have ordered during the pre-order. I can’t wait for you all to receive the first drop and add SURPLUS into your daily rotation. It will be arriving very soon. With SURPLUS I can see it being a lifestyle brand in and of itself, and I have grand plans to build out the offering from the initial drop far beyond just fleece. Of course, tees and fleece will be a major part of the core offering and was the logical place for us to start this journey, but adding depth to the collection will really help tell the story I have set out to tell.

Growing up in Australia I always had my eye on America. That is where it seemed to me things were happening that affected the world in terms of popular culture, and if I wanted to achieve the effect I set out to create, that was where I needed to be. When I got into fashion, all my heroes were also from America and living here, and becoming a citizen was a dream come true. So living and breathing American culture from afar and then becoming an American citizen, spending the last 13 years of my life here and building a business and a family, it has naturally become part of me and in turn part of the DNA of the brand. Americana runs through my veins and through the veins of SURPLUS DANIEL PATRICK. I can’t obviously divulge too much on the direction, but let’s just say there are exciting times ahead and I am excited to take you along on the journey.
