The Sunday Paper: Problems

Life is composed of problems, and it is how you solve these problems that determines one’s success or failure in life. The word problem sounds like a negative thing, but who among us was more miserable when they had less problems or less things to do? When we look at the man who has retired and lived his whole life to retire, only to then look back at how good he had it when he struggled on those jobs he did. I know for myself it was hell going through some of the challenges we faced early on and even to this day, but looking back you feel a sense of pride. And it sure makes for one hell of a story. I feel it also strengthens one’s resolve to know that no matter what comes our way, we will be prepared to face it and not only that but also get through it. Confronting problems rather than running away from them is the key to success.

The Sunday Paper: Problems

Trying to come up with solutions for problems rather then reasons why we can’t do it is also another key. There are millions of reasons why it can’t be done, but there are also on the flipside of that a million reasons why it can be done. Focusing on the solution will bear more fruit than telling oneself it can’t be done. I shouldn’t even be here today as a company if I listened to all the people that said it cannot be done. I can also say that it has been a hell of a lot harder than I had ever anticipated it would be, but here we are. And if you are on the right career path that aligns with your purpose, you will find a way through. If you are just doing something for the check or for the wrong reasons, it will be easier for you to give up and quit. In this fast-paced social-media-fueled world, all we tend to see is the highlights. But dig a little deeper behind the highlights; there sure as hell was a lot of sleepless nights that had been gone through to reach that moment.
